STATEMENT

I am in disbelief that this reality is the main timeline. The narrative today does not meet my interests as well as my dreams do. Within my work I mean to create and explore alternate narratives within this reality. Why be bound to one truth when you can experience much more.

This photographic project acts as a documentation of my personal moods of transitioning seasons from winter to spring; let us freeze in time what we cannot sustain.

“HalfMonth”, examines fluid freedom that we so clearly ache for while quarantined under pandemic times (2020). Created during the aftermath of a timeframe acting as a “Saudade” mood; a relief of emotion incorporating studies in dance-motion, styling, and color. Architectural, subtle geometric compositions and outdoor locations pay homage to future spatial developments within urban design.
This project features aspects in analog and digital to incorporate broad changes in technologies seen vividly throughout covid season, asking if this generation’s values are changing for the better.
